HOW WE CHARGE
In accordance with the SRA transparency rules, Arndale Solicitors Ltd publishes this price guide so you can compare firms with confidence. Most matters are quoted as a fixed fee before we start. Complex work can be charged by the hour, and we will agree any extra charges with you in advance.
We estimate our likely fee and agree it with you before work begins — so you know the cost of your matter from day one.
Unusual or heavily contested work can be charged by time spent. We will tell you the rate and keep you updated on costs as the matter progresses.
You are not liable for VAT if you have no permission to live in the UK, you are a visitor, or you are applying from abroad for entry clearance.

Typical timescales are 2–6 months for applications, 6–8 months for an in-country appeal, and 9–12 months for an out-of-country appeal. These vary with the Home Office caseload.
Disbursements and fees payable to the Home Office are never included in the figures above. We will quote before instructing a third party and can handle payment on your behalf.
Mr Jason Jamil, Solicitor-Advocate, supervises all casework. If you are dissatisfied with our services or our bill, ask for our complaints procedure. You may also apply to the court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974.
